Welcome to Transpennine Real Ale Trail
Please Respect our Ale Trail and make it an enjoyable experience for all
We are finding the increased popularity of the Ale Trail difficult to manage as sadly the Ale Trail is being spoilt by individuals who cannot respect our venues, staff, locals, towns and villages. Our aim is for everyone to have an enjoyable and safe experience in the pubs along the trail.
To try and bring some order back and put the 'Ale' back in the Real Ale Trail from the 15th June on Saturdays we are stopping serving lager, shots & doubles, stag and hen parties or anyone in fancy dress between the hours of 12-8.
We ask for your patience and cooperation through at this time.
As featured on the BBC's Oz and James Drink to Britain, The Transpennine Real Ale Trail is a unique voyage to a selection of Yorkshire and Lancashires best real ale pubs - on a train!
All the pubs are within a stones throw of their respective Railway Stations, so finding your way there (and back) couldn't be easier.

We have tried to provide as much information as possible about each pub on the trail, as well as the information needed to get to each station. You can create your own Real Ale Trail and view the information about the services between your selected stations. Unfortunately we can not supply the exact timetable within our website - but we have given you links to the relevant websites so you can easily plan your journey.
